Dr. Matthew R. Noyce

Dr. Matthew R. Noyce completed dental school and his orthodontic residency at Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI. In between dental school and residency he served as a Captain in the United States Army for three years and spent a year of this time deployed to Iraq providing dental care to US troops as well as Iraqi detainees. Following his graduation from orthodontic residency he practiced for nearly five years in Wisconsin before moving to Missouri. Dr. Noyce is excited to have the opportunity to serve the St. Joseph and now Platte City areas.

Dr. Noyce and his wife, Connie, are the proud parents of eight children: Rebecca, Cecilia, Teresa, Olivia, Gabriel, Andrew, Veronica and Josefina. As if their home wasn’t already busy enough, their family also includes dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, a hamster, a tortoise, chickens, pigs, goats, and llamas! When he is not spending time with his children and pets, Dr. Noyce somehow finds the time to Crossfit regularly and plays trumpet in the Platte City Community Band. Although not raised in Missouri, Dr. Noyce and his family have been happy to leave the bitter Wisconsin winters behind and call Platte City home.

  • Sarah
    Office Manager

Hello, I am Sarah! I am married with 2 daughters who keep us very busy with sports. We have 1 French Bulldog, Hank. In my free time I like to relax with family and friends and spend time at the Lake of the Ozarks. I have been in the dental field since graduating high school in 2002. I love our team, getting to know people personally, and seeing the great outcomes that walk out our door!

  • Amber
    Treatment Coordinator

Hello! My name is Amber. I enjoy seeing patient transformations and the success stories of perfect smiles. I switched from General Dentistry to Orthodontics in 2013 and got the chance to straighten my smile again after not wearing my retainer in high school. I truly love it, and can now share my experience with our patients! I’ve lived in Missouri all my life. I grew up in the Savannah area. I am married to my husband Dustin and we have a wonderful home in the country. We love the outdoors, hunting whatever’s in season. I enjoy being crafty, music of all kinds, and spending time with family and friends. I absolutely love our dog Nitro, a black lab that goes everywhere with us and loves the outdoors too!

  • Ashley
    Scheduling Coordinator

Hello! My name is Ashley, the “front desk girl!” I began working in orthodontics in 2001, but took a 10-year break in 2009 to be a stay-at-home mom. I live in Oregon, Missouri, and am also the bookkeeper for my husband, Kevin’s, farming operation and corn head business. We have three teenagers—Kenna, Aubrey and Trevor—who keep us busy with sports and other activities. In the summertime, our weekends are spent at the Lake of the Ozarks where we enjoy some family time and fun in the sun! I love watching football and basketball, the ID Channel, and listening to every genre of music! A fun-fact about me is that I have had braces THREE times—so I can relate to my patients really well! I am also a good example of why it is important to continue to wear your retainers when you are finished being seen on a regular basis!

  • Terra
    Lead Orthodontic Assistant

Hello, I’m Terra! I was born in Atchison but raised in St. Joseph where I graduated from Benton high school in 2001. That’s the year my career in orthodontics also took off and I’ve been here ever since. I’m married and we have one boy named Peyton and 1 dog named Brinn, a lab mix that we rescued from the shelter. In my free time, I really enjoy spending time with my family and just relaxing.

  • Mercedes

I’m Mercedes. I have been in the ortho/dental field since 2013. I love seeing people come out of braces more confident than they went in! Helping transform a smile everyday and knowing I have a part in making someone feel better about themselves is one of the main reasons I love my job.

  • Shaina
    Orthodontic Assistant

I’m Shaina. I’ve been married since April of 2017 and I enjoy spending time with my husband and our kids. I started working at Noyce Orthodontics in February of 2019 and I have loved every moment. Since working here I’ve been able to better my smile with braces, and have used that experience to better understand and connect with the patients about what they’re going through in their treatment.

  • Haley
    Orthodontic Assistant

My name is Haley. I’m a wife, mom, and dental assistant at Noyce Orthodontics. I’ve worked in dentistry since graduating high school in 2015. The best part of my job is seeing the confidence our patients get after seeing their new and beautiful smile!

I’m Taylor. I graduated college in May 2020 to pursue orthodontics. I love working at Noyce Orthodontics, and seeing how much your smile can change! I have awesome co-workers that make work so much fun!

Treatment Options

When it comes to achieving that gorgeous smile you’ve always dreamed of, you have options! That’s why at Noyce Orthodontics we are proud to offer our patients the latest and most technologically advanced orthodontic treatment options available. Orthodontic treatment is right for anyone at any age with healthy teeth to get a smile that looks better and works better. Dr. Noyce will take the time to go over all available treatment options to help you decide which is best for you!

We are proud to use the Damon Bracket System – the most efficient method for providing exceptional orthodontic treatment. Offering a significant advantage over traditional braces, this state-of-the-art technology moves teeth faster, is more comfortable, and reduces treatment time. This remarkable bracket system has resulted in improved quality of treatment and a dramatically decreased need for permanent tooth extraction.

Damon brackets are beneficial for patients of all ages. Adults benefit because of lower forces and faster treatment when compared to traditional braces. Damon brackets are also indicated for patients with periodontal (gum) problems due to the light forces they deliver.

Feel free to ask Dr. Noyce or one of his staff about the Damon System. Discover the difference between traditional braces and this new, improved, and more passive method of orthodontic treatment.

Invisalign is the clear alternative to braces and uses a series of invisible, removable, and comfortable aligners that no one can tell you’re wearing. So, you can smile more during treatment as well as after. Invisalign is made with 3-D computer imaging technology and has been proven effective.

Not only are the aligners invisible, they are removable, so you can eat and drink what you want while in treatment. Plus, brushing and flossing are no problem. They are also comfortable, with no metal to cause mouth abrasions during treatment. And no metal and wires usually means you spend less time in your doctor’s office getting adjustments. Invisalign also allows you to view your own virtual treatment plan when you start so you can see how your straight teeth will look when your treatment is complete.

Invisalign is a terrific option for working professionals or patients seeking a discrete solution to improve their smile, however it is not ideal for every case. Dr. Noyce is a certified Invisalign provider, so he can use his expertise to determine if Invisalign is the right treatment choice for you.

iTero Element 2 Scanner

The iTero Element 2 scanner is the world’s most sophisticated intra-oral digital camera. The introduction of iTero Element 2 scanning technology into our practice is the first step of the process that will eliminate uncomfortable and messy impressions from our practice forever. The iTero Element 2 scanner is designed to integrate easily into our practice’s workflow, allowing the team to transition quickly into digital impressions, which saves time for our patients. Using the The iTero Element 2 scanner, we can get a single, high-resolution scan in less than 7 minutes. The lightweight, compact iTero Element 2 wand is comfortable and ergonomic for the operator. This, combined with the the small wand handle and tip, allows operators to access the posterior easily, maximizing your comfort.

Lasers

Laser treatment is fast becoming the preferred method of taking care of many ailments that previously required several sessions and treatments, such as gum-line reshaping, removal of swollen gum tissue, and correcting crowded teeth. The tissue in the mouth is very thin and sensitive, and it can be desensitized for laser operations using a topical anesthetic. Lasers can drastically reduce the waiting time between procedures, and can restore your teeth to a healthy state in much less time.

Healing time is greatly reduced as the patient doesn’t suffer from any bleeding. There is also little chance that a laser treatment can cause additional swelling, shrinkage or infection. Patients can save money by having what used to be multi-session treatments completed in a single session.

Temporary Anchorage Devices

Temporary anchorage devices, or TADs, are small titanium anchors used in certain orthodontic cases to help achieve quicker tooth movement with more efficiency and comfort. TADs may be used in addition to braces or as an alternative to headgear. The device is temporary and is removed when it is no longer needed or once your treatment is complete.

If you have questions about TADs, please contact our practice. We will be able to answer any of your questions and provide you with detailed information about your orthodontic treatment.

Cost of Braces

The cost of braces or other orthodontic treatment should never keep you from achieving the smile you’ve always wanted. Getting that perfect smile is an important investment because you are investing in yourself, which can pay important dividends in terms of self-esteem, confidence, career and relationships. And because the cost of treatment using the Damon System of braces is usually comparable to the cost of traditional braces as well as invisible aligners like Invisalign®, a broader, fuller smile with great facial aesthetics is now within your reach. Dr. Noyce can determine the cost of braces based on your specific needs. Factors that will influence the cost of braces are case difficulty, length of treatment, insurance coverage and more.
